Feeling Ready for a Change?
Are you tired of trying and falling time and again? Do you feel frustrated for not getting over your “triggers” fast enough? Are you losing the battle to anxiety, anger, hopelessness, or addiction?
It’s time to fight back.
A dark horse is someone overlooked in the arena of life. Someone discounted, silenced, or otherwise dismissed in some way. Those with trauma and addiction understand what it means to feel on the
outside—a bit “less than” and like “damaged goods.”
But you are not alone. You are here, and you are ready to become a contender.

Dark Horse Counseling combines traditional trauma and addictions counseling techniques with martial arts philosophy and training, harnessing the power of self-defense to heal the mind-body-soul.
Like No One Else
Survivalist Training
Life is hard. We do not pretend your problems will go away. We teach you how to reclaim your power and fight for your dreams to live the life you desire, despite past and present traumas.
My Philosophy
I look at counseling as I do training and stand ready to partner with my clients to move forward in their lives–no matter the challenges. I believe everyone has the power to rewrite the past, live in the present, and author the future according to their values, passions, and talents. Together, we will identify and nullify the obstacles in your way as you gain the skills to flex your psychological, physical, emotional, and spiritual muscles so as to engage fully in your life.
